Terms of Service
Who we are
Platypus Tickets is an online ticketing platform for small Australian venues and producers. Formal entity details will be added when our registration completes.
The service
Platypus lets approved venues and producers ("tenants") publish events, sell tickets online, check tickets at the door, and run audience mailing lists. We host the software; each tenant runs their own box office on it.
Your responsibilities as a tenant
- Your event listings, images, and emails are your content — you're responsible for their accuracy and for having the rights to publish them.
- Ticket payments go through your own Stripe account: you are the merchant of record for your ticket sales, and Stripe's terms apply to that account.
- Refunds and exchanges are your policy, communicated by you to your patrons.
- Keep your login credentials safe and use the multi-factor authentication we provide.
Our responsibilities
- We run the platform with reasonable care and skill and aim for it to be available whenever your patrons want tickets, but availability is best-effort — small team, honest engineering.
- We handle the data you and your patrons give us as described in our Privacy Policy.
- We tell you about material changes to the service or these terms by email.
Fees
Platform fees are as published on our pricing section at the time you subscribe. Card processing fees are charged by Stripe to your own account and are separate.
Ending the arrangement
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your billing page. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, misrepresent who they are, or misuse the platform — we'll tell you why.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
